About the event

Join Christine for an upcoming 3-Hour Workshop to tame the anxious mind. Anxiety can be triggered and heightened by the natural cycles of hormonal changes during perimenopause creating a multitude of symptoms from digestive upset to panic attacks. Through this workshop, part of the Ebb & Flow Series, you’ll learn ways to acknowledge your anxiety and what you can do to tame the anxious feelings. The asana practice will be centered around soothing the nervous system to create a feeling of being safe focusing on the hips to ground, the solar plexus to soothe, and the chest/heart space for loving acceptance. We’ll also explore the vagus nerve and psoas muscle and how they relate to the fight, flight or freeze mechanism the body uses for protection. This workshop is designed for any level of yoga and can be beneficial for women experiencing regular, irregular or no menstrual cycle.
