About the event

A weekend workshop series for all levels - perfect for those just starting or experienced students, this weekend will offer stories from yoga’s rich history, yoga therapeutic techniques, and opportunities to ask for personal guidance, insights and experiences provided from Dustin’s nineteen years and Katie’s six years of yoga practice.

Friday's session: How do I make space for new things?

Yoga can help us assess where we are in life and offers a structure for approaching our personal growth and goals. In this class we’ll explore a sequence of poses that relieve tension throughout the whole body and learn how to modify those poses to accommodate personal needs. Understand how your physical practice becomes meditative and the meditative practice becomes physical.

May 20th 6pm to 9 pm

Saturday morning: What am I learning, and does it work?

There is much to learn about yoga, and yoga helps us learn about ourselves. Learn how to create an intuitive yoga practice, trusting what you’ve learned and the feedback your body gives you, allowing for more creativity and experimentation in movement, play, and personal practice. Break free of the “have to’s” and “always” and “nevers.” This session will include standing poses, forward folds, backward bends/inversions, and twists, and how they apply to all poses - and how what you learn applies to you.

May 21st 9am to 12 pm

Saturday afternoon: "What if I don't like what I've found?"

It’s popular advice to meditate when you’re stressed and remain calm when something’s hard, but practicing in the moment is sometimes challenging. We may find tight hamstrings, stress, injury, or other challenges on the yoga mat (and off of it). The poses in this yoga therapeutics session will be taught based on the participants' physical challenges and questions.

May 22nd 3pm to 6pm

Sunday: “What do I do now?” Take what you’ve learned on your yoga mat into the rest of your life. We’ll talk about tools and support to keep you on your mat and in your practice, including challenging asana practice, pranayama, affirmation meditation, and community-building.

12pm to 3pm

Each 3 hour segment is $60 or you can attend the entire weekend for $200.
